Ayurvedic Potli Therapy – Traditional Heat Pain Relief

Ayurvedic Potli Therapy is an ancient and time-tested traditional method used to relieve joint pain, muscle stiffness, and body discomfort naturally. This therapy works through therapeutic heat and herbal stimulation, helping the body heal from within.

Potli therapy helps improve blood circulation, relax tight muscles, and reduce stiffness by delivering warm herbal energy directly to the affected area. It is especially effective for chronic pain conditions where muscles and joints have become rigid or weak.

How Potli Therapy Works

The warmth of the herbal potli increases local blood flow, which helps:

  • Reduce muscle stiffness
  • Ease joint and back pain
  • Improve mobility and flexibility
  • Relax deep muscle tissues
  • Support natural pain relief without medicines

This method has been used in Ayurveda for centuries as a natural alternative to pain management.

Ingredients & Preparation Method

  1. Take the herbal contents from the potli.
  2. Heat the herbs on a gas flame for about 10 minutes until they are properly warm.
  3. Take two cotton cloths.
  4. Place one cotton cloth down, add all the warmed herbs on it.
  5. Cover with the second cotton cloth and tie tightly to form a fresh herbal potli.

Method of Application

  1. Apply Ayurvein Oil (15–20 ml) to the affected area.
  2. Use the warm herbal potli to gently give heat fomentation (sekh) over the oiled area.
  3. Apply gentle pressure according to comfort level.
  4. For best results, perform this therapy twice daily.
